2nd Phase, Waxing Crescent

MARCH 2 - 6, 2025

Refine your vision! Whether you set your top 3 goals (from the New Moon, Phase 1 journal page) for the month or not... now is the time to refine those goals and see what it will take. This is where you will have to gather the gumption, set your ego aside... and move forward unapologetically, loud with laser-like focus.  Be that bull in the china shop!

This is straight out my journal (you can see the page number at the bottom). This worksheet asks you to list your TOP 3 GOALS for the next 30 days AND the 3 objectives / plans for each of the goals. You must be able to measure your goals, objectives and plans to KNOW that you've achieved them at the end.

 

  • If a goal is  "I want to be brave...," what will it take to be brave; maybe going out to coffee twice a week and talk to a stranger at the coffee shop. Have a real conversation. Share something vulnerable on social media once a week. Go to a gym to work out alone 3 times a week. You can measure those things by checking them off as you do them each week. 

  • If a goal is "to be healthier"... what is healthier? Maybe it's working out 4 days a week using a workout app, sign up for a yoga classes at a studio. Walk 20 minutes everyday on the treadmill. Cut out junk food, soft drinks or alcohol. Or to really step it up, take a progress pic every day; turns out this is hard one for 90% of  people. 

  • Since you have to list 3 goals, make of them a personal wellness goal. These are usually the hardest. 

You'll have time over the next week to look at what's not working and what is... FOR NOW, complete this page, print it off... or recreate it in your own personal journal.

New Moon Exercise

1st Phase

FEB 27, 2025, new moon

First phase in the lunar cycle, this worksheet can be used for both new moon journaling and GOAL setting. Being able to move forward with intentional actions in alignment with your purpose or plans you've been working on is important. Align your goals with moon cycles is nothing new. Farmer's Almanac supplies you with moon information and shares the knowledge of when is best time to plant your seeds and when to harvest them. Cartographers use the stars to create star charts to create maps; instead of showing countries and oceans, they show constellations and stars. Once again looking to the heavens to help map their paths.

 

New moons represent new beginnings, planting seeds (writing out) your intentions (like goals) for the next 28 (or 30 days). It's a time to get clear with yourself. Turn inward to see yourself clearly. Are you where you want to be? Are there things you need to alter, change or remove? Ask yourself, what has stopped you from moving forward before).

 

Getting clear with the direction you're moving is imperative. An airplane a little off course... or a boat that turns a little too much... arrives at the wrong destinationIf you don't have any goals for the next month... create at least 3 goals in alignment with your Core Values and the vision of where you want to be in 3 years... break it down into 3, 1 year goals... and break it down further into what would it take to step onto your path.

 

List out what you want TO HAVE, TO BE and TO DO. Align the items you write in your list with intentional actions and focus as you continue to move forward through the moon's cycles.

Waning Crescent

8th Phase

FEB 21 - 26, 2025, waning crescent

As I move through my own pages of my journal, the next up is the Waning Crescent Moon, a time for REST and our final moon phase. Some view this as the end point, view this as graduating into your next big move.

 

Print and complete during the Waning Crescent moon phase. During rest, we enter upon our final release stage. In order to rest, we must face the areas that need our personal care the most, the places we've depleted.

 

What parts of yourself have you been overusing? How is your heart? How is your body? How are your thoughts... your family? How will you practice self-care, nurture yourself, recharge and focus on bringing in positive energy? How will you show yourself love? How will you nurture what you've learned? View the last few weeks as part of your journey; what you've learned must continue to be nurtured. Water those seeds.

Third Quarter Moon

FEB 20, 2025, third quarter

Let go and begin where you are. This is the first page I've decided to share and an old part of me would have waited to begin at the beginning, but I've learned to let that go... and start where I'm at.

 
This is the 7th in eight moon phases, a time to let go and release anything that binds you repeating cycles, bad habits and holding your journey still. This page is dated. To reuse for each quarter moon, mark through the day & date. If you aren't able to print, copy down the information into your own journal or use the drawing as your own template.
