Holistic Modalities to Release Physical & Emotional Trauma
What are Holistic Modalities?
These modalities focus on creating a sense of well being through balance between mind, body, spirit, and environment.
In addition to creating balance, there are modalities that aid in releasing trauma stored in the muscles, tissues and organs of the body. Like an bank account, each time you practice you are making a deposit into your wellbeing. The subtle, but significant changes you begin to feel has an added benefit of how your mind begins to see the world. You will begin to reframe how you view life and the impact of the trauma you've endured.

TRAUMA RELEASE
Your body will shift and move to release trauma stored in the muscles, tissues and organs of your body. You will feel tension easing and releasing. Every session will begin with a grounding process through pranayama (your breath) allowing the process of releasing what's holding you back & the tension you feel in your body to be easily accessed.

BENEFITS: Deeper relaxation, peaceful, calm and a heightened sense of clarity. Lighter and less physically restrictive. Benefits from each session is accumulative; each session continues to add up. You'll go deeper with each new session.

I'll guide you through a series of exercises, final position will be laying down. You'll want to wear comfortable clothes to avoid restriction of movement. The first few sessions, you'll feel little outside visible movement, but will feel the movements deep in the structure of your body. I will ensure you don't go into fight, flight, freeze or disassociate. Recommend minimum of 4 sessions with a session a month for 9 - 12 months. (single session or session plan)
MINDFUL JOURNALING
Journaling is a powerful tool for healing trauma. Learning and creating a disciplined practice will help & aid in expressing your thoughts and feelings. Journaling allows you an outlet to acknowledge, accept and let go of the emotions associated with a traumatic event changing your narrative around stories that are holding you still. ​

​BENEFITS: Reduces stress, anxiety and depression, improves sleep and focus. Fosters post-traumatic growth helping you to gain insight and perspective that can lead to a sense of purpose and meaning. Builds resistance to new events that once would have held you still. Increases your capacity for self-reflection and resilience.
30 minute weekly zoom session. I'll teach you how to journal with intention and purpose. You'll learn how to set up a journal along with how to ask yourself the deep questions to receive the answers you've had within you all along. We combine this practice with accountability.
YOGA NIDRA
Yoga Nidra is a, non physical practice, that places you in a state of conscious, deep sleep that gives deep rest and relaxation to both body-mind. The state of yoga Nidra removes fatigue and tensions.

Options: this can be added to trauma release or personal guided session. You will want to a quiet place where you're not disturbed and a place where you can lay down or sit somewhere quietly.
MEDITATION
The 7th limb of yoga, Dhyana (meditation), is a practice of uninterrupted contemplation or awareness without a specific focus. It's a seated practice that helps you achieve a state of awareness that transcends a single point of focus. Meditation is the deliberate focusing of attention bringing you feelings of calm and heightened energy and awareness. ​​

PRANAYAMA
The 4th limb of yoga, also known as an anga, and is a practice that involves breathing techniques and exercises to regulate the breath. The word "pranayama" is derived from the Sanskrit words prana and ayama, which translate to "breath" and "control" or "expansion. ​

SANSKRIT CHANTING + MANTRA
Studies have shown that chanting Sanskrit mantras can reduce stress levels, lower blood pressure, and reduce anxiety. The sound waves emitted by the mantras are thought to vibrate and resonate with the body, helping to relax and restore balance​​
