Energy healing is considered metaphysical, as it is based on beliefs and practices related to mysticism and esotericism. Energy healing is a type of alternative medicine that involves the belief that a vital energy flows through the body and that healers can channel this energy into patients to promote healing.

Energy healing practices can include:

Therapeutic Touch and Healing Touch: Western professional traditions
Bioenergy: A family of healing theories and methods that originated in Eastern Europe
Eclectic healers: Healers with backgrounds in other traditions

Energy healing is based on the idea that the body's molecules vibrate at different frequencies, and that misaligned energy can lead to physical ailments. However, there is a lack of scientific evidence to support the claim that energy healing works in this way.
